Cheers to Makeover Magic

Happy Makeover Day! This is not an April Fool’s joke. Lauren’s Lyst went a little heavy on the weekend face mask to produce— this! A new and improved space to call home. I’ve been working hard with an incredible design team, Ashley and Malone, to develop a little space of magic.

Through the redesign, you’ll notice it’s easier to connect with me. Subscribe to the blog by entering your email to the right. You’ll receive a message each time a new post goes up. If you’re tired of a full inbox, connect with me via social media or Bloglovin. Most importantly, I want to hear from you! Send me a note to say what you’d like to see on the Lyst.

Over the next several months, you’ll notice more videos, lifestyle projects and personal posts. Ultimately, I want this space to be a source of realistic inspiration. We’re all working, playing and moving on to new endeavors. Let’s do it together, one post at a time.

Friday’s entry ended on a rant over craving carbs and candy (darn you, cleanse!). So today, I’ll leave you with something more fitting for the start of your week. Author Alan Cohen says, “Do not wait until all the conditions are perfect for you to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect.”

Indeed, the hardest part about achieving something is starting it. The planner in me wants every detail accounted for before diving into a new challenge. I nearly didn’t start this blog last fall because I feared my words might not resonate with anyone. I’ve realized, however, real plans don’t start until after I dare to jump. That goes for anything, whether it’s a career move, a relationship leap, or chasing a seemingly impossible dream. Readiness is only achieved through doing. Do something. Jump with me.

  • Wonderful post! So happy to have worked on this with you. Enjoy your new blogging home 🙂

Congrats on the makeover, it’s beautiful! It does bring out the thoughtfulness of your words. Can’t wait to see what’s next on the blog! I would love to see some beauty, interior design advice and yes, some videos please!
I wish you the best! Don’t worry, I’m staying to watch it all happen 🙂
