Winter Bliss: Aspen Travel Diary
I just spent a week in the North Pole. Hot cocoa, white lights, snow angels… the magic was everywhere in Aspen. Even the people seemed happier than Santa himself.
I couldn’t ski this trip because of the sweet babe in my belly. I had expected to feel a little disappointed to be missing out on the slopes, but instead I was able to explore the town in a way I never would have otherwise. I walked trail after trail, wandered around the streets solo, and sipped on hot chocolate by more fires than I can count. Everything about this trip calmed me, and I felt like the happiest snow bear in the world.
We stayed at the St. Regis, at the base of Aspen Mountain. Outdoor bonfires and tableside s’mores created pure bliss. We looked out to snowy peaks and wintery alpines.
Here are a handful of pictures from the trip. I spent one afternoon with Carrie King, snapping photos in some of my favorite spots so I could share them with you here. So much of Aspen’s beauty is found along quaint streets and in open land…
