Kissing Fall Goodbye in Vail
I’m finally sharing some photos from our family trip to Vail last month! We had the coziest time, and it was so refreshing to escape someplace quiet for a few days. Jake and I were craving some quiet time away with Ev, to get outdoors and do a few hikes, while also indulging in cozy dinners and casual picnics. It was the BEST, and I (tried) to stay off my phone and really enjoy the weekend.
We flew into Denver and played in the leaves that were still left behind, and then drove about an hour to Vail. It’s the CUTEST mountain town — if you’ve never been! It’s mostly known for it’s skiing and snowy winters, but fall was so beautiful and especially quiet because it’s considered their off-season. The only bummer was that we missed most of the leaf colors by just a few days. They had some storms the week prior, and nearly everything had fallen off the trees by the time we arrived. The area still felt really special though, especially when we drove through the town and could see early signs of winter on the snow-capped mountains! Ev loved it.
I shared some of my favorite moments below, and a few of the spots we visited while we were there, The best part about Vail is its surroundings, so don’t worry too much about having a schedule before you go — instead, indulge in walks + hikes + car rides through the mountains!
