Australia Travel Diary: Wolgan Valley
Happy FriYAY from down under! Here’s a first peek into our Australian adventure. We arrived last weekend, and we’ve been hopping around to different cities since.
We kicked off our trip in Wolgan Valley, which is nestled northwest of Sydney. It was beautifully secluded, tucked away from city life. It felt as though no one was there but us — and the kangaroos, of course! Truly, the wildlife at Wolgan Valley is like nothing Jake and I had seen before. Kangaroos hopped past our room each day. Wombats joined us on our walks. And we made best friends in a pair of wallabies.
If you ever have a chance to make the trip, the Emirates One & Only resort is the only oasis you can call home there for a few days. The nearest town is several miles away, so this resort is the best spot to go. The rooms are small cabins, with a plunge pool attached at the side [so romantic!]… It’s especially fun to come in the fall [as we did], when it’s cooler. The valley is a really special place to bundle up and get cozy!
Next week I’ll share our travel diary from Sydney…
