How to Create a Killer Hot Cocoa Bar
As a Michigan native, I know a cup of hot cocoa in mid-January is a life saver. What else makes you smile during snowpocalypse?
I brought a little piece of home to sunny California last week, in setting up a hot chocolate bar for some friends. Maybe it’s not the healthiest of soirées, but organic marshmallows don’t have calories… right?
Wrong. But there’s something about this childhood favorite that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Offer a number of toppings, like chocolate + vanilla chips, nuts, coconut, caramel, hazelnut sticks, etc. Place items in serving pieces you would typically save for snacks and appetizers. You’ll also love these candy dishes I found at The Container Store, for only $3.29! Label everything using gift tags.
Another tip: place whipped cream in a martini glass. Happy hot chocolate-ing…!
