This is 30 | My Thirtieth Birthday Party
Thirty is a big birthday (in case you missed my post — click here for my ‘thirty things I learned by thirty’ post). I had debated for months on what I wanted to do — a low key dinner at home, a weekend trip away, or a fun party with all my favorite people. Ultimately, Jake said he’d take the reigns and plan something alongside my parents. I didn’t want to be part of the planning much, mostly because I had been so busy with Evan and playing catch-up on work. I was so sweetly surprised by what they put together for my thirtieth birthday party.
All of the beautiful people who have supported me in LA (and beyond!) came out to my family’s house at the beach. String lights lit up the backyard, as though I could make a wish on each one. The prettiest blooms and tastiest sweets lined the tables. And of course, we danced (and danced, and danced) because life is so worth celebrating.
I brought Ev to the very start of the party, so I could capture photos with him on this special day. This time last year, we celebrated Jake’s thirtieth birthday party, and I was a few months pregnant. It was really special to celebrate with him this year.
