Spare Time Sweat: Work Your Rear

I appreciate anything that’s both positive and practical. We’ve all got a lot going on, and our health often suffers because of it. Sadly, wine can’t fix everything.

So, I’m starting a new series on Lauren’s Lyst, called Spare Time Sweat. I’ll post monthly workouts [with help from a trainer] you can literally do in your spare time. The first video in the series is focused on the rear (because, let’s be real… we all want a great butt).

1) SPLIT LEG SQUAT [25 reps per leg/3 sets/3 lb weights] No stepper at home? Grab a chair!

2) FRONT DUMBBELL SQUAT [25 reps, 3 sets, 5 lb weights]

3) DONKEY KICK [25 reps per leg, 3 sets] Too tough? Move to your hands and straighten your leg.

    How many days a week do you work out with a trainer? I am desperate to make a change but don’t know how many days/week to commit to someone?

  • Hi Diana, I do two days with a trainer, and two days on my own (running or at-home exercises)… self-discipline is the toughest when I’m on my own 😉 But if you mark it on your calendar you’ll feel more obligated to stick with it.
