Tips and Tricks for Tasty Sips
Thyme Infused Champagne
In the spirit of Labor Day weekend, I wanted to share my quick tricks to serving up tasty drinks. I’m all about ease when it comes to entertaining. Often times, making a guest feel special is as simple as adding garnishes to traditional drinks. Trust me, it works wonders. Below are five of my personal favorites, from flavorful water to a fun spin on serving a glass of bubbly.
ORANGE & MINT WATER: Fill a glass jug with water. Add a handful of oranges and mint sprigs. To best achieve flavor, allow water to sit refrigerated for 20 minutes before serving. Pour over ice. Add orange/mint garnish.
LEMON & MINT GREEN TEA: Brew green tea. Allow tea to cool (you can let it set in the refrigerator). Once cooled, pour the tea over ice. Serve in a mason jar with lemon/mint garnish.
THYME CHAMPAGNE: This one is so easy! Simply add a sprig of thyme to each glass of champagne. It adds a burst of beauty and flavor to a traditional glass of bubbly.
ORANGE-INFUSED VODKA SODA: In a shaker, combine ice, one ounce of vodka and one fresh squeezed orange. Shake. Pour in a martini glass, adding a splash of soda water to the top. Garnish with an orange slice.
GRAPEFRUIT TEQUILA SODA: This is a healthier spin on a poloma. In a shaker, combine ice, one ounce of silver tequila and one half fresh squeezed grapefruit. Shake. Pour over ice and top with soda water. Finish by squeezing a lime wedge over top. Garnish with a lemon or grapefruit peel.
