St. Patty’s Day Sips

Is it 5 o’clock yet?

Because we’re talking St. Patty’s Day cocktails. I’ve got three chic alternatives to green beer that will make you feel [a little] classier while drinking midweek.

Let’s start with something especially festive…

THE SOUR IRISHMAN: Combine 1.5 oz rum, 1.5 oz midori + 3 oz fresh orange juice. Shake well over ice. Pour into a glass and top with soda water. Garnish with a horned melon slice or an orange.

THE SPICY SAINT. Muddle 1/8 c chopped jalapeño + 1/4 c chopped cucumber in a shaker. Add 1.5 oz tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice + 1 oz sweet & sour mix. Shake well over ice. Pour into a glass and top with soda water.

APPLE SOUR MARTINI. Combine 1.5 oz vodka + 2 oz apple sour mix. Shake well over ice. Pour into a martini glass. Garnish with an apple slice.

Try serving green gummies + candied caramels with your cocktails. I snagged mine at Sugarfina, but you can also get creative by separating out green m&m’s, skittles + sour gummies.

P.S. I married my husband for his last name [“Ireland”]. Such a moniker makes drinking on St. Patrick’s Day feel even more acceptable. Am I right?!
