Be My Valentine? I’ll Throw You a Party.

Let’s be real: Valentine’s Day is [mostly] about the ladies.

Maybe it’s because boys have cooties for a good 10 + years. Maybe it’s because we’ve always left our fate up to a box of candy hearts. Or, maybe we want a legitimate excuse to eat sweets all day.

Whatever the reason, I think it’s just as important to celebrate your girlfriends on vday as it is your significant other. Throw a party with candy and champagne and confetti and sugary candies.

Fill martini glasses with sweet treats. Serve macaroons for dessert. Place a small bottle of champagne at each seat. Dress up the table with colorful confetti. Indulge in decadent berries guilt-free. Gift mini flower bouquets. Dress things up in this little red dress (just $23)! And leave sweet love notes…

… P.S. If your girlfriends live out of town (like so many of mine do), send them a few sweet treats. A little bit of love goes a long way…
