Easter Egg DIY: Gold + Glitter Centerpiece
YAY for an Easter egg DIY! I love getting crafty right now (because what’s cuter than adorable eggs?!) Last year, we shared these super sweet bunny + chick eggs. This time, we created a new spin on the eggs that feels oh-so-chic — a glitter egg centerpiece!
This Easter egg DIY looks really beautiful on a table. Plus, it doesn’t require a lot of time or impressive crafting skills. You’ll notice I explain two different ways to create this project, depending on whether you want to place small blooms in your eggs. I love the florals, but if you’re not up for making mini-vases, you can simply use metallic paints and glitter and create something equally as beautiful! Happy Easter-ing!
SUPPLIES | large eggs | egg carton | gold metallic spray paint | gold glitter | small flowers
STEP 1 | Empty each egg by poking small holes in the top and bottom of the shell. Place a straw over one hole, and blow the contents out of the other hole… OR, if you want to skip the small blooms and merely make metallic eggs, you can simply hard-boil your eggs first! We created a mix of both for this Easter egg DIY.
STEP 2 | Spray paint each egg with metallic paint.
STEP 3 | Pour glitter over each egg while they’re still wet from the paint.
STEP 5 | If you’re creating ‘egg vases,’ create a larger cracked opening at one end of the egg + place your favorite blooms inside (small blooms work best)!
STEP 6 | Cut your egg carton in half to create two different decor centerpieces!
