What I Eat in a Day
You asked — so here it is! A post on what I typically eat in a day.
I’m a foodie and feeling hangry is not pretty. For me, eating and drinking is about family. I don’t ever want to take the joy out of food, because it brings everyone I love together.
So, I say no to diets. Instead, I try hard at making my eating habits a lifestyle [thanks to nutritionist, Kelly LeVeque]. I eat meals with protein and fat, and [typically] limit carbs to breakfast or lunch.
Below is what I eat on a weekday, with a handful of go-to options for each meal…
COFFEE with SKIM MILK | HOT WATER with LEMON
PROTEIN SHAKE | TWO EGGS with AVOCADO | SPOONFUL OF ALMOND BUTTER
SALAD with CHICKEN OR TUNA | BROWN RICE BOWL WITH GRILLED CHICKEN
MIXED NUTS | MARY’S CRACKERS + HUMMUS
LETTUCE WRAP TACOS | STEAK + VEGGIES | ZOODLE BOLOGNESE
COCONUT ALMOND BUTTER COOKIES | DARK CHOCOLATE | GLASS OF WINE

Of course, weekends aren’t this disciplined [hello, boozy brunches]!
My only no-exception rules? No fast food. No soda. No candy bars. Lots of bad chemicals in that stuff and not worth the calories! I DO treat my sweet tooth to a celebratory cupcake, ice cream cone, or macaron now and then.
A few tricks? Split your desserts with a friend | Make zoodles or spaghetti squash in place of regular pasta | Puree cauliflower in place of mashed potatoes | Sleep 7-8 hours | Workout a few days a week to keep you motivated!
The better you eat, the better you feel. Health = happiness. You are beautiful.
