Playfully Corporate with Paper Crown
When I landed my first ‘grownup’ job post-college [a news reporter gig in Missouri], I remember feeling so excited to dress like a corporate girl. I wanted to rock a blazer that screamed Katie Couric, and a pantsuit that fooled people into thinking I had been in the working world for years.
A few weeks into the job, a colleague called my bluff and teasingly said… “You don’t have to pretend to be someone you’re not.” TRUTH. We don’t have to be older [or younger] than what we really are.
… which is why I am so IN LOVE with these pieces from Paper Crown. I’m calling this look ‘playfully corporate.’ The tweed top [one of my favorites from their spring collection] is the perfect combo of work and play. Pair it with high-waisted slacks or a pencil skirt, and you’ll look stylishly in charge.
