NYFW: Our Favorite Trends
Let’s talk the biggest trends out of New York Fashion Week.
As always, there were recurring looks show after show — highlighting new trends we can expect to see come spring. Here’s a look at the top three I took away from Fashion Week…
Global-Inspired Designs
Tommy Hilfiger | Reem Acra | Baja East
Get ready to wear a lot of unique prints, exotic accessories and bright colors. A number of designers were inspired by their native roots. Shop styles here, here + here.
Feminine Textures
Badgley Mischka | Carolina Herrera | Sachin + Babi
This trend is my personal favorite! It’s chic, airy and aesthetically interesting. I spotted a lot of blush tones with a twist — think ruffles, feathers and dramatic pleats. Shop styles here, here + here.
Mismatched Patterns
Coach | BCBG | Kate Spade New York
You’re about to feel like a third grader again. Mismatched prints and patterns are going to be huge for spring. Polka-dots on stripes. Florals on geometric shapes. Paisley on patterns. If you want to ease into this, stick with one color palette [like black + white] and mix prints. Shop styles here, here + here.
