Wrap it Up Without Stressing
The only part about the holidays I dislike is gift wrapping. Mostly because I wait too long to do it, which lands me in a pool of glittery tears the night before Christmas.
Still, I appreciate a well-wrapped gift. I’ve learned my less-than-stellar wrapping skills can be saved by topping boxes with festive accessories (think pinecones, evergreen, burlap and berries). They mask ugly corners and botched tape jobs.
I hope these ideas make you cry a little less this year…
Neutral + Natural
Take a natural approach by combining craft paper with accessories you’ve already got at home (or in your backyard). If you’ve got kids, have them write and/or draw sweet messages on the craft paper.
No Ribbon, No Problem
Decorative tape will save you this season (because you will run out of ribbon when you need it most). Create designs using small strips of tape, like stars, snowflakes or spelling out someone’s name.
This is when my tears turn to glitter. Sparkles get everywhere! But everyone loves a glitzy gift. Try a textured paper and top it with faux berry branches by sliding them below the bow.
