My Pregnancy Skincare Routine
I’m officially 27 weeks into pregnancy this week. OMG! It’s going by so quickly, and I’m trying to savor the kicks, the joy… even the discomfort. All of it is happiness.
Some of you have been asking about my go-to skincare products — specifically while I’m pregnant — that aren’t packed with tons of chemicals. Admittedly, it’s a little tough to find natural skincare products that actually work. But I’ve found a few gems during my pregnancy that I’ll continue using even after the baby comes. I’ve been fortunate (so far, anyways), and haven’t struggled with mama-to-be acne too severely. BUT, dry skin everywhere has been tough, and these products have worked for getting my GLOW back.
I’d love to know what natural skincare products you love. I’m always searching!
FACE WASH + CREAM + MASK
I’ve fallen in love with all products by Tata Harper. The washes, creams + masks are 100% natural and nontoxic. They’re more expensive than your average skincare products, but I think the cost is worth it. The face wash works well to wipe off makeup and clean out pores, while the mask is especially great for glowing skin when worn overnight.
STRETCH MARK CREAM + OILS
A lot of people argue marks largely come down to genetics. But I still like to lather myself in lotions and oils that can help prep the skin for all the stretching it’s doing.
For an all-natural oil, I love Mother’s Special Blend, available at Whole Foods. I also like the consistency of the body oil by The Honest Company. As for cream, I like Basq. The texture is a lot better for everyday use compared to others I’ve tried. This product is paraben-free, but it’s not all natural.
BODY MOISTURIZER + SPF + LIPS + EYES
I’m currently lusting over body lotions by 365 — specifically, with macadamia oil and shea butter. This is available at Whole Foods and other grocery/convenient stores. As for SPF, I’ve long loved COOLA, because it’s organic and doesn’t go on greasy. For moisturizing my lips + eyes, I lean on Sugar balm and Basq cooling gel.
