Holiday Beauty Trends to Try Now

‘Tis the season to shimmer and shine for your holiday parties! This time of year is a good excuse to try your favorite beauty looks that scream FESTIVE! Think glimmery cheeks, greenery weaved into braids + a bold red lip that will make you feel mistletoe ready!

Have a favorite?? I hope these looks inspire you to channel your holiday spirit for the season. Plus, these ideas can all carry into the new year, even after Santa heads home…

Give your eyes + cheeks a little SHINE this season! Play with bronze-based shadows, illuminating primers + bronzing palettes to get the look. You can even add a few small gems to the corners of your eyes if you want to amp up the look for a holiday party.

Shadows: Dose of Colors Eyedeal Duo in ‘Sunset’ or Physicians Formula Shimmer Cream Shadows in ‘Nude’ or Kylie Cosmetics in ‘Bronze Palette’ | Lashes: Ardell in ‘Wispies’ | Primer: Cover FX in ‘Illuminating’ | Bronzer: Bobbi Brown in ‘Bronze’ | Contour: Anastasia Glow Kit in ‘Sundipped’ (apply to high points of face) | Shine: MAC Fix Plus Spray (a few sprits for luminosity) | Gloss: Rosebud Balm in ‘Minted Rose’

Add a festive twist to your french braid! Weave pieces of greenery, florals, or even berry branches into your braid. Pick pieces that are flexible enough to be intertwined into your hair. The florals must be tucked well within your braid for them to stay in place. Tip: Try this trend in the spring as well, with baby roses + small peonies!

Prepare for the mistletoe with a bold, red lip. Begin by applying chapstick or lip balm, before adding a festive pop of color. I love a deep burgundy hue for winter. Tip: Liner helps stop the red from bleeding outside your lips. Plus, using a brush to apply your lipstick will help you achieve better precision. If you want a long-lasting lip, try a lip stain by YSL or Revlon.

Balm: Rosebud in ‘Minted Rose’ | Liner: NARS Velvet Liner in ‘Burgundy’ | Lipstick: NARS Matte Lipstick in ‘Amsterdam’
